Mythology: The portal Aramu Muru and the solar disk gold Coricancha

A few kilometers from the town of Juli, not far from the magnificent Lake Titicaca, in Peru, is a very strange place: the so-called portal Aramu Muru (also referred Hayumarca, a city of spirits), a large rock perfectly smooth that was carved in ancient times to the sides so as to take the form of a massive "portal".

The "door" is a square of 7 meters to the side where the bottom center there is a the recessed part landlocked, sufficient for it to introdurvisi a man who, according to the beliefs of the Aymara, lead the spirit world.

As the story goes, in the second half of last century a man of Aymara origin, named Jose Luis Delgado Mamani, had long heard the tales of the shamans that described a mysterious "door" in the past where it was hiding a massive "golden sun disc".

Mamani When finally discovered the exact location of the "door", interviewed local people and found concordance between the various oral histories and the historical period of the "conquistadores". The English the sixteenth century, in fact, when they realized that people loved the "back door Aramu Muru," began to spread the idea that it was a pagan superstition, and that his worship would lead only to hell (for this reason, some locals call it " puerta del diablo ").

But what is the origin of the legend of Aramu Muru? According to oral traditions of the shamans of Lake Titicaca, Inca Aramu Muru was a priest, in order to prevent the "conquistadores" Spaniards took possession of the great golden sun disc was kept in the temple of Coricancha in Cusco, the picks up and carried him away, hiding in the mountains for years.

finally reached the "portal" and we went through, entering into another dimension and carrying the sun disk of gold, preserving so the plunder of fury "conquistadores".

This legend was revived and enhanced by the sensitive U.S.
GH Williamson in his book "The Secret of the Andes." In the book describes the fantastic quality of the solar disk of gold.

Here's an excerpt:
.. this disc was not only used as an object of worship, and even as a symbolic representation of our star, the Sun was also a scientific instrument, and secret of his power came originally from the remote past, since the breed of Major. It was an object of worship as it was used during the rites as "fire" or center of concentration for those who meditate. It served as a symbolic representation of the Great Central Sun, the Cosmic Sun, which in turn symbolizes the Creator.

Quando invece si metteva in armonia con la particolare frequenza inside of a human being, it could be beamed anywhere, only by creating in his own mind the mental image of the journey. It was therefore an object that allow teleportation.

Today, the "portal" of Aramu Muru is attended by various groups of people who believe in the legend of Aramu nell'esisitenza Muru and a subterranean world inhabited by beings with a profound spirituality . The faithful kneel into the central part and support their forehead in a circular cavity in order to connect the so-called "third eye" with il “portale”.

other side of the "portal" there is a tunnel (called chinkana in Quechua), which according to some local beliefs and lead to the island of the Sun Tiwanaku (Titicaca or island). The tunnel was blocked with stones to prevent your children you could put on and then get lost in its depths.
But what was the real fate of the solar disk Coricancha gold? The chronicles of various writers now know that the solar disk of gold was a real object and was in Coricancha or Temple of the Sun in Cusco, before the arrival of the conquistadores.

From the Book of Lehman-Nitsche Coricancha el Templo del Sol en el Cuzco y las imagenes mayor of the altar, (1928), shows that in the temple, and a large plaque d ' where gold had been carved, among other figures, including an oval representative Viracocha, there was Viracocha was anthropomorphic (that Punchau ), and several gold records including a larger and heavier, all showing the face of Viracocha.

According to Pedro Cieza de Leon the great golden sun disk had a diameter como the wheel of a cart and was often a finger.

Various chroniclers report that following the sacking of Coricancha by the Spaniards a disk of gold was handed over to the soldiers as booty Mancio Serra de Leguizamo, who lost giocandoselo dice that night that he received (from this episode comes the proverb: no jugarte antes que el Sol rise, namely: not played before the sun arises ).

There are other sources, following its conquest, which show that when the Spaniards captured Tupac Amaru I in Vilcabamba, in 1572, they found un’altro disco d’oro, che lo stesso viceré Francisco de Toledo propose di inviare al papa.

Paititi incaico, costruito nell’antichità dall’eroe culturale Inkarri?
