Ieri ho passato tutta la giornata con una fastidiosa vocina nella testa che mi ordinava di smontare le valvole. Arrivati a sera non ce la facevo più e non ho potuto fare altro che assecondarla. Per smontare le valvole serve un attrezzo che comprime le molle. Dopo cena quindi sono andato dal Beppe, e insieme al Mone (altro TTRista) abbiamo fatto accoppiare un flessibile e una saldatrice ad arco, ed è nato KROG, lo smontavalvole (battezzato così dopo una birretta). KROG non è frutto di alcuna progettazione: è stato creato così, a sentimento, tra le scintille. Non è tanto bello de vedere (le saldature le ho fatte io), ma funziona che è una meraviglia, davvero comodo. Appena tornato a casa ho smontato all 4 valves and put them each with its springs in separate envelopes (each valve is coupled with its head, and I suspect that the springs are different intake and exhaust valves).
In the coming days will clean the flues and check that the whole distribution system is in tolerance. Now that I have silenced the quiet voice I can continue studying for the exam on Saturday (yes, the poles are the exams on Saturday).
